The Florence Johnston Scholarship Project
This project offers interns a rewarding opportunity in their community. The world beyond school becomes a lab and a classroom, as well as an opportunity to develop job skills. Each intern works 10 weeks on the project. Discipline is required to maintain the daily physical rigors of this work. Thus, this project promotes the national and state effort for teens to be more physically active. This is a hands-on opportunity to apply math and science skills taught in the classroom to be applied in the real natural environment. This project helps local students work with and support their community.
In addition to the Florence Johnston Scholars, this internship project is supported by the generosity of people like you. The experience of giving to this program and providing this opportunity for a local student is unrivalled.
